The overall purpose of our project is to develop a program to ensure scientists in training are made aware of the intellectual virtues during their undergraduate and graduate education. Arguably, such an awareness would help students be more effective scientists (e.g., ethical, creative) and make more of their college education (e.g., deliberate, engaged).

More specifically, we want to devise, implement, and evaluate different approaches to encourage the development and application of intellectual virtues by scientists in education and training. Such a model of developing intellectual virtue will be made available to other institutions to modify and implement.
